Joyous Jambiani

Jambiani is a tiny village on the east coast of Zanzibar with just a few guest houses and restaurants in amongst the local homes. We rented an adorable little house there for five nights, right on beach. We enjoyed lavish breakfasts of Nutella pancakes and the juiciest fresh fruit, and made meals for ourselves with local produce, fresh fish on the fire, and curries made with Zanzibar spices. It was the perfect place to switch off, spending the hot afternoons reading books in the sun, taking long walks along the beach to nearby Paje, and hanging out with the awesome Rastafari Muslim community. That’s right, Rastafari Muslim. Amazing.
